One participant of the final race event in the Special Olympics stumbled and staggered and fell down on his knees to the ground during the race. This is how his dreams of winning the medal in the prestigious competition and efforts put in the preparation for the event — all went in vain, dashed in the dirt.
Seeing all his dreams dashed now, he gave out a cry of frustration and anguish.
