I. ISC XII DRAMA

Macbeth - William Shakespeare

ISC XII Listening Skill

An unseen passage of ~500 words is read aloud twice (first at normal speed, then slower). Students make brief notes and answer an objective-type written test based on the passage. 5 Marks.

ISC XII Speaking Skill

An individual oral presentation of ~3 minutes on a chosen theme followed by a ~2–3 minute discussion with the subject teacher. Assessed on Content, Fluency, Vocabulary, Sentence Structure and Confidence. 5 Marks.

ISC XII Language Writing Skill

One piece of functional writing of ~500 words (e.g. brochure text, product / process description, sporting event report, autobiographical experience, or TV serial review). Externally assessed by the Visiting Examiner on Presentation, Originality, Language, Structure and Style. 10 Marks.

ISC XII Literature Project

One written literary assignment of 1000–1500 words based on the prescribed drama / short stories / poems. Assessed jointly by the subject teacher and Visiting Examiner on Process, Understanding & Analysis, and Presentation. 10 + 10 Marks.
