Englicist Learnings LLP (“Englicist”, “we” or “us”) provides educational support services through Englicist.com and other group websites to our customers and users (“you”). In doing so, we recognize and greatly respect your privacy rights, and we provide this policy (“Privacy Policy”) to make you aware of how we collect and use information from you pertaining to your use of Englicist.com (our “Website”) as well as the products or services that you access through the Website (our “Products”).

We also explain in this Privacy Policy certain rights that you have in respect of your Personal Information (as defined herein). We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

This policy doesn’t apply for user data collected through offline mode.

What personal information do we collect from the people who visit our blog, website or app?

When using our site, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, physical mailing address, phone number, social media profile links, academic details or other details to help you with your experience.

In addition to that, we also collect web server log information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available (“Web Server Information”). This Web Server Information includes non-personally-identifying information such as browser type, operating system, device type, language preference, location and the date and time of each visitor request, as well as potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses.

In either case, we do not use such Web Server Information to identify visitors to our Website, and we do not disclose any Personal Information including those found in such Web Server Information to third parties, other than under the specific circumstances described below in this Privacy Policy where Personal Information may be disclosed.

Our purpose in collecting this Web Server Information is to better understand how our visitors use the Website in order to improve the Website and our Products.

When do we collect personally-identifiable information?

We collect personal information from you in a variety of ways including but not limited to when you register on our site, place an order, subscribe to a newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form, use live chat, open a support ticket, provide us with feedback on our products or services, submit a question or answer, or otherwise enter information on our site.

You may however visit our site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Our use of cookies:

Third party cookies:

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to our users based on previous visits to our site and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt-out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google Ad and Content Network privacy policy.

We, along with third-party vendors such as Google use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) or other third-party identifiers together to compile data regarding user interactions with ad impressions and other ad service functions as they relate to our website.

Opting out:

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

Transfer of personal information

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information unless we provide users with advance notice. This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving our users, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release information when its release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property or safety.

However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

How do we protect your information?

Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems. In addition, all sensitive information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. We also use regular Malware Scanning on the server. However, we do not guarantee that a data breach shall not occur. In case of such unforeseeable event, we will notify you within seven days through a notification on our site and/or through email, as applicable.

All payment transactions are processed through an external PCI compliant payment gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.

As the security of information partly depends on the security of the computer you use to communicate with us and the security you use to protect your user IDs and passwords, please take appropriate measures to protect this information.

Retention of your Personal Information

We will store your Personal Information for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, as explained in this Privacy Policy. In some circumstances we may store your Personal Information for longer periods of time, for instance where we are required to do so in accordance with legal, regulatory, tax or accounting requirements.

In specific circumstances we may store your Personal Information for longer periods of time so that we have an accurate record of your dealings with us in the event of any complaints or challenges, or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation relating to your Personal Information or dealings.

What rights do you have over your data?

You may revise your Personal Information by editing your account details. You also have the right to ask Englicist to amend any Personal Information it holds about you if it is inaccurate or misleading by emailing at contact@englicist.com.

You have the rights to access your personal information, restrict the processing of your information, object to processing of your information, obtain a portable copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask for the details of the legal basis of processing your personal information and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if you have concerns about how we are processing your Personal Information. However, we request that you attempt to resolve any issues with us first before your local supervisory authority.

We may ask you for additional information to confirm your identity and for security purposes, before disclosing the Personal Information requested to you. We reserve the right to charge a fee where permitted by law, for instance if your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

You can exercise your rights by contacting us. Subject to legal and other permissible considerations, we will make every reasonable effort to honor your request promptly or inform you if we require further information in order to fulfill your request.

We may not always be able to fully address your request, for example if it would impact the duty of confidentiality we owe to others, or if we are legally entitled to deal with the request in a different way.
