Gold, silver and bronze refers to the different medals which are awarded to the winners in a competition of games, sports, academics and other such fields as a token of their excellence.
Gold medals are generally given to the persons who stand first in given competitions. Similarly, silver and bronze medals are awarded to the persons coming second and third respectively.
