What were the two decisions taken by the doctor in Vikram Seth’s poem ‘A Doctor’s Journal Entry for August 6, 1945″? One is that they should leave for the hospital. What is the second?

The first decision is, as you rightly say, that they should go to the hospital. And the second one was that his wife Yecko-san must go on ahead while he could have some rest, as he could walk no further.
