In the poem “Television”, Roald Dahl says that Television keeps the children still, as the parents often claim.
Television draws the children’s attention and prevents them from doing evil deeds like climbing the window sill, fighting, kicking or punching things around and creating disturbances in the midst of household chores like cooking or washing dishes.
