Can we write both for and against a topic / motion / statement in an argumentative essay?

Nope. It is discouraged to write both for and against the motion.
As per CISCE regulation, you should take a clear stand either for or against the motion and stick to only one side with detailed arguments. At least four-five points should be presented logically and well-supported with anecdotes and real-life examples.
