Our Mission
At Englicist, our mission is simple: to help students master English literature and language with clarity and confidence as a part of their academic journey. We are dedicated to making learning meaningful, accessible, and structured. Every piece of content is created with the goal of genuinely helping students perform better and understand literature and language concepts more deeply.
Our Story
2013 – The Beginning
Englicist began in 2013 as a humble Google Blogger website where we started writing poem analyses for ICSE students. Our focus was to provide easy, insightful literature notes that simplified complex themes, characters, and literary devices.
2015 – Growth and Recognition
In 2015, we registered our current domain englicist.com. Over the years, Englicist grew steadily and became a trusted resource for thousands — and probably lakhs — of ICSE and ISC students, parents and even teachers. At our peak, we reached approximately 6–7 lakh monthly pageviews. Students appreciated our clear explanations and exam-oriented approach.
Challenges and Transition
As time passed, personal and professional commitments limited our ability to consistently create new content and fully adapt to updated syllabi. With increasing competition and the impact of the Covid-19 period, our traffic gradually declined.
A Fresh Start
Recently (2026), we rebuilt our platform to create a faster, more structured, and syllabus-focused learning environment. We now have complete coverage of the entire ICSE and ISC English Literature and Language syllabus, including dedicated question-and-answer pages for students.

Jayanta holds a Master’s degree in English from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and currently serves as a teacher under the School Education Dept., Government of West Bengal. His 12+ years of classroom experience informs the structured, exam-focused approach followed at Englicist. He oversees all editorial content on Englicist, ensuring that each article, analysis, and answer page is structured, accurate, and helpful for ICSE and ISC students.
